- About Jamie Lyons
- Jamie Lyons graduated from Northwestern University in December 2010 from the Graduate School with a M.S. in Biomedical Engineering. He also completed his undergrad at Northwestern with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering.
- Current and Past Jobs
- Jamie did his coop at Baxter International Inc. in the north suburbs outside of Chicago, IL. After spending several years with Baxter, Jamie spent the summer of 2010 working as an intern for a small OEM in Co Galway, Ireland named Creganna-Tactx Medical. Now Jamie works for Abbott Laboratories in their entry-level rotational Professional Development Program (PDP) in the Engineering track. Currently in Lake County, IL Jamie is in his first (of four) 6-month rotations as a Project Engineer in the Utilities Group.
- Why Did You Join KTE?
- Jamie was elected Vice President of KTE at the most recent National Convention. His main goal for this term will be to find universities to be added as new chapters for KTE. Jamie would like to see at least one new chapter at next year’s convention. He would also like to get some of the “non-active” chapters back involved with the organization.
